Lewis Waugh
Although I have always painted, the demands of my working life constantly impinged upon my creative work. A life of intense and committing work has taken me in different directions, mostly related to art and education. Painting, poetry, music, photography, rock-climbing and mountaineering have been a constant part of my private, and professional life.
When I retired from paid employment, I took to the mountains of North-west Scotland and thence to the studio. The serious work I began at art college is now coming to fruition. The journey to Morocco and the High Atlas proved to be a confluence of my art and passion for the human and physical environment.
